Bright Futures

The Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program has helped more than 725,000 Florida students attend a postsecondary institution. The program offers three types of scholarship awards – the Florida Academic Scholars award (FAS), the Florida Medallion Scholars award (FMS), and the Florida Gold Seal Vocational Scholars award (GSV). Wakulla Academic Booster Sponsored Scholarships

There are over 30 scholarships available ranging from $600-$4500.  The majority of these scholarships are restricted to Tallahassee Community College, while others are for all colleges.  These scholarships can be applied for by using the following application:

Additional Scholarships and Grants

  • Biletnekoff Scholarship
    The 2019 Scholarship Applications are TO BE RECEIVED BY THE TALLAHASSEE QUARTERBACK CLUB FOUNDATION, INC., ON OR BEFORE January 28, 2019.

    Applications are accepted from High School seniors attending public, private, charter, or virtual high school in Calhoun, Franklin, Gadsden, Gulf, Jackson, Jefferson, Leon, Liberty, Madison, or Wakulla counties. The qualifications are seniors who have a 3.0 gpa (or weighted 3.25 gpa) and have overcome significant obstacles (emotional, physical, mental, or emotional) in their lives to become student achievers involved in extracurricular activities. This is not a sports scholarship but rather a scholarship awarded to students who have overcome and turned significant barriers they experienced into opportunities to develop.

  • Freedom Alliance Scholarship
    The Freedom Alliance Scholarship Fund honors Americans in our Armed Forces who have sacrificed life or limb defending our country.
  • Janice M. Scott Memorial Scholarship Fund

  • Southern Scholarship Foundation - Rent Free Housing
    For over fifty years, the Southern Scholarship Foundation has helped thousands of students with outstanding academic abilities, good character and financial need realize their dream of a college education. Qualified students attending Florida State University, Florida A&M University, the University of Florida, Tallahassee Community College, Santa Fe College, and Florida Gulf Coast University are awarded scholarships in the form of rent-free housing.
  • USDA 1890 National Scholars Program
    Deadline - January 31, 2018
  • William M. Inman and Clara Strickland Inman Graduate Fellowship Fund
    A scholarship awarded to students who have been admitted to the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine. Recipients will typically already have been awarded a four-year degree, however preference is given to applicants who are from Wakulla County.
